聽 Neil Young《La Noise》:簡單仍見功力

得知Neil Young又發行新專輯《Le Noise》，心中真是開心，不下於接到許久未曾聯絡的好友電話，又是驚喜又是感動。這些歌壇的傳奇人物如Neil Young ,Bob Dylan ,Bruce Springsteen等，儘管年事已高都在六、七十歲之間，卻始終一步一腳印，每隔幾年就有全新創作專輯出現，相較於一般事業過了高峰的中老年歌手、樂團，僅靠昔日名聲發精選、巡迴演唱過一天算一天。更令人感動和佩服。不過前者對於老樂迷倒也不是不照顧，Neil Young整理出大全集Achieve Volume One，陸續重發現場Live、絕版專輯，Bob Dylan每幾年就會有新的精選輯、靴腿。這些人巡迴演唱會也是一場開過一場，Bob Dylan、Bruce Springsteen每年演唱會動輒一兩百場，收入也驚人，Bruce Springsteen近年還曾登上全美演唱會收入第一名。

《Le Noise》整張專輯瀰漫著迴音效果，不管是人聲還是電吉他。《Walk with Me》曲調簡單明瞭，不管曲名或是歌詞，都很有序曲開闊的感覺。 一般我們聽到的情歌都是年輕人的愛慾，《Sign of Love》是少見以老人心境寫出的搖滾情歌，大概也唯有年紀到了暮年，才能寫出這種感覺「When we both have silver hair ,And a little less time ,But there still are roses on the vine, You can take it as a sign of love......」。《Love and War》是首悲天憫人的木吉他小品「I've been in love and I've seen a lot of war, Seen a lot of people praying.They pray to Allah and they prey to the lord, But mostly they pray about love and war,Pray about love and war.......」描述不管是彼此立場信仰阿拉或是上帝的人們，都在祈禱著關於愛與戰爭。母親總是無法向兒女解釋父親為什麼再也無法從戰場回來。他說已經有太多關於愛的歌，所以他唱著關於(反)戰爭的歌，儘管常帶著怒氣儘管不動聽。《Peaceful Valley Boulevard》是首史詩般的環保歌曲，從數百年前西部開拓史談到掏金夢，再談到現今的石油爭奪與地球資源耗竭，各國政客開了高峰會議卻什麼也沒決定什麼沒解決「A polar bear was drifting on an ice floe .Sun beating down from the sky .Politicians gathered for a summit ,And came away with nothing to decide .Storms thundered on, his tears of falling rain.A child was born and wondered why.」他也問說到底有誰可以拯救已經破碎不堪的世界「Who'll be the one to lead this world. Who'll be the beacon in the night .Who'll be the one to lead the nations ,And protect God's creations」。

Neil Young的歌，總是非常有想法和獨特，不管每次聽的新專輯或是回頭聽漏掉的舊專輯，總是會有些衝擊和感動。
